Tesla Upgrades Cybertruck With 4-Motors & 4 Wheel Steering

- The Cybertruck is going to get upgrades before its 2022 launch
- It will get a crab mode, 4 motors and even a 4 wheel steering
- It will also get an upgraded FSD chip, new cameras and a yoke steering
The Cybertruck is perhaps the most whacky car Elon Musk's team has dreamed up. After being unveiled in 2019, the pickup truck is scheduled to go on sale in 2022 after being delayed because of the pandemic and the global chip shortage. However, Tesla is using this extra time to make some upgrades as it challenges new electric pickup trucks like the Ford F-150 lightning and the Hummer EV.
Tesla's CEO has now revealed that some of the upgrades which were long rumoured include 4-motors, four-wheel steering, and even a Hummer EV like crab mode.

The Cybertruck will also get a yoke steering wheel
"Initial production will be a 4-motor variant, with independent, ultra-fast response torque control of each wheel," said Musk.
"Will have both front and rear-wheel steer, so not just like a tank - it can drive diagonally like a crab," he added.
Originally the car was supposed to have a tri-motor setup along with upwards of 800 km of range and $69,900 as its initial price. But now that it isn't the first electric pick-up truck having been already beaten by the critically acclaimed Rivian R1T, Tesla has decided to upgrade its specs so that it measures up to the competition in a better way.
A couple of months ago Musk also revealed that Tesla upgraded the cameras on the Cybertruck and would also ship with its next-generation FSD chip which would give it advanced self-driving capabilities,
