Women’s Cricket World Cup Winner Shafali Verma Takes Delivery Of MG Cyberster

- MG Cyberster priced at Rs 75 lakh (ex-showroom)
- Dual-motor AWD powertrain puts out 528 bhp and 725 Nm
- Over 250 units sold in India since launch in July 2025
Indian Women’s Cricket star Shafali Verma has taken delivery of a new MG Cyberster – the brand's flagship electric sports car. The news comes shortly after the Indian Women’s Team’s ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 triumph. Verma, one of the youngest women to represent India in all three formats of the game, has seen a fair share of success in the game, being part of the World Cup-winning team in 2025 as well as winning the 2023 Asia Cup and 2023 U-19 T20 World Cup.

The Cyberster is MG’s first roadster for the global market in years and is currently the brand’s halo model in India, where it is sold alongside the M9 electric MPV at MG’s premium Select dealership chain. Since going on sale in July 2025, the Cyberster has been fairly well received with MG saying over 250 units were sold in its first two months, and it commanded a waiting period stretching to four months.
The electric MG roadster is offered in a single variant in India, featuring a dual-motor AWD powertrain that produces a combined 528 bhp and 725 Nm of torque paired with a 77 kWh battery. MG claims a 0-100 kmph time of 3.2 seconds and a range of up to 580 km on a full charge.

On the design front, the Cyberster looks the part of a proper sports car with its low and sleek looks and a folding soft top roof. The cabin also features a driver-centric layout with its tri-screen display behind the steering - a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster flanked by two 7.0-inch auxiliary displays, and a flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel. Other tech on board includes a Bose audio system, a 7.0-inch touchscreen (separate from the driver units) with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 360-degree camera system, adaptive cruise control, Level 2 ADAS functions and power-operated butterfly doors.
The Cyberster EV is currently priced at Rs 75 lakh (ex-showroom).
