Auto Expo 2018: Hyundai To Launch i20 Facelift

- The Hyundai i20 facelift will come with a bunch of styling upgrades
- The Hyundai i20 facelift will get a new interior as well
- Expect to see the present engines on the i20 facelift
The Auto Expo 2018 is set to witness a whole bunch of launches and of course Hyundai isn't holding back. The company will be showcasing a whole bunch of cars and this will include electrically powered concepts and also the new generation of its small car - the Santro. Hyundai will be also launching the updated version of the i20 as well. We've caught the facelifted i20 testing for a while now and the price of the car will be announced at the Auto Expo 2018.
The upcoming Hyundai i20 facelift will come with a bunch of styling upgrades and some new features as well. The i20 will receive updates that will keep it in tune with the company's current design philosophy. So, the front grille will be redesigned and it will be a lot similar to the new Xcent's cascading grille, however, instead of the horizontal chrome salts, the car continues with the honeycomb pattern. The headlamp cluster will also be updated and will come with LED daytime running lights, while the revised bumper will come with large housings for the horizontal foglamps along with a secondary set of DRLs.
(Hyundai i20 Facelift will receive a bunch of new exterior updates)The Hyundai i20 facelift will come with new interior, a redesigned dashboard and upholstery and of course we'll see the updated touchscreen infotainment system which comes equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Hyundai i20 Facelift's rear will see some considerable changesMechanically, we do not expect to see any changes, so the Hyundai i20 facelift is very much likely to continue to get the same 82 bhp 1.2-litre Kappa Dual VTVT petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual unit, and an 89 bhp 1.4-litre U2 CRDI diesel engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The car also gets a more powerful 99 bhp 1.4-litre dual VTVT petrol engine that comes mated to a 4-speed automatic torque converter.
The car will continue to rival the likes of Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Honda Jazz and the Volkswagen Polo
