Mercedes-Benz India Launches Edition 1 of the A-Class and B-Class

Highlights
It's been a year since Mercedes-Benz launched the A-Class in India and a little more than that for the B-Class. The German car manufacturer thought it was time to celebrate the successful year that these two cars saw in the Indian market, by launching a special edition of both the cars.
Christened the Edition 1, this special edition of both, the A-Class and B-Class, will be limited to 100 units per car and will come packed with a wide array of new features. While the A-Class Edition 1 comes with a price tag of Rs 26.17 lakh, the B-Class Edition 1 will cost Rs 28.75 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, Mumbai).
That said, Mercedes-Benz will offer both the cars only in the diesel variant. Talking about the new features, The A- Class Edition 1 now gets a panoramic sunroof, new tremolite grey 17- inch alloys, 'Edition 1' decals on the sides, a reverse camera and electronically adjustable front passenger seats. In addition to the features on the A-Class Edition 1, the B-Class Edition 1 also gets a 17.8 cm screen as part of the rear entertainment system.
Both the cars are powered by the 2.2-litre 4 cylinder diesel powertrain that puts out 107bhp and 250Nm of torque, and boasts of a top speed of 190Km/h.
Mercedes-Benz says that every 5th car sold by the company in India is either an A or B-Class, a fact that corroborates the A-Class and B-Class' success story in India.
