New Nissan Sunny Facelift Coming in June

Three months after being shown at the 2014 Auto Expo, Nissan's upgraded Sunny sedan is undergoing final touch ups before it gets launched next month in domestic market. Nissan could launch tweaked Sunny in India in the second or third week of June as the car maker will commence test drives for the new models on June 10th, 2014.

Array of changes have been made to the exterior and interior front of the sedan rendering it a modified look. In the front a new chrome grille has been equipped that gels well with the considerably large head lights. New fog lamp assembly with chrome inserts can be seen on the revivified front bumper. Side semblance of the vehicle is improved by the presence of electrically adjustable turn indicators and restyled alloy wheels affixed on the flared wheel arches. Nissan has not made many changes to the rear profile of the sedan expect for the lower bumper that gets black plastic inserts. Inside the cabin, a piano black centre console is expected to be seen classing up the cabin. Features exquisite to the high line variants include modified music system, with Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
Under the hood, Sunny facelift will get the same set of engines as offered on the current line-up of the sedan. Petrol variants will get the 1.5 litre gasoline engine yielding a maximum power output of 98 PS. Diesel trims on the other hand will come powered by a 1.5 litre K9K diesel motor engendering a pinnacle power output of 85 PS. A manual gearbox will be offered along with a XTRONIC CVT.
Among the safety features, Nissan is likely to proffer preeminent safety equipment like Anti Lock Braking System and driver side airbag as standard. While the top-of-the-line variants of Sunny sedan are likely to come with side airbags.
