Porsche Macan Launched in India; Diesel Variant Will Cost Rs 1 Crore

Considering the spate of launches, both recent and upcoming, India's automotive market seems to be picking up quite the exciting pace. The latest addition to the list is the Porsche Macan SUV, which sports a prie tag that ranges from Rs 1 crore - Rs 1.1 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Though the Macan is sold with three engine options globally, namely, a 3.0-litre petrol, a 3.6-litre turbo petrol, and a 3.0-litre V6 diesel, the SUV will be offered in two variants in India, i.e. Macan Turbo and Macan S.
Delving in to the details, the Macan S diesel houses a 3.0-litre V6 that delivers 258bhp and 580Nm of torque and touches the 0 - 100Km/h mark in just 6.3 seconds. It also offers a top-speed of 230Km/h. Whereas the petrol model aka the Macan Turbo is powered by the 3.6-litre turbo that puts out 394 horses and 550Nm torque. Both, the diesel and petrol, engines have been mated to a 7-speed Porsche PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The Porsche Macan S retails at Rs 1 crore, while the Macan Turbo will cost Rs 1.1 crore.
