Tata Indigo Likely to be Replaced by A New Compact Sedan

Tata Motors is currently working on a bunch of new products for the Indian market, with special focus on mass segments. In fact, the company seems to be in a mood to replace all of its existing products with new ones. Of all the products that the home-grown automaker is planning to bring in, there will also be an affordable sub-compact sedan that will be positioned below the Zest. This car will most likely replace the Indigo CS. There will also be a small hatchback, the Kite, that will be positioned below the Nano and the upcoming Bolt. The company has already started testing both of these vehicles in India.
Talking about the engine options, the company might use the 1.2-litre Revotron petrol and the Fiat-sourced 1.3-litre multijet diesel. That said, both of these engines might be tuned to deliver more fuel economy and less power than the Zest.
Expected to be launched next year, the new sub-compact sedan will be manufactured at Tata's Sanand plant in Gujarat. The new compact sedan is expected to be priced around Rs 4 lakh.
