The Volkswagen Group and Skoda have announced their plans for the Indian market. The German automaker will be investing €1 BILLION in India to localise the new MQB A0 Platform for locally made and locally developed SUVs. The German automaker - led by Skoda India will be showcasing its first SUV in India in 2020 with a market launch and production slated to begin in 2021. The Skoda SUV will be followed by a Volkswagen SUV and then later two more slightly larger SUVs too. The Volkswagen Group will also finally start making the TSI engine in India with the new 1-litre unit.
