2015 Audi R8 Teased Ahead of Global Debut; Will Come To India Soon

The second generation of the Audi R8 is all set to be unveiled at the Geneva Motorshow and the company has already put up a teaser image of what it will look like. The teaser picture only shows a small portion of the car's front end but it speaks volumes about the company's updated design.

Audi also announced that the new R8 will get LED headlights featuring 37 LEDs per headlight as standard. At an additional cost, customers will be able to configure the model with an optional laser high-beam headlight using high-intensity laser diodes which compared to LED high-beam headlights have an almost double lighting range.

Audi says each headlight boasts of one laser module operating with four high-intensity laser diodes while a phosphor convert transforms the blue light into pure white light. The laser headlights will come with a blue light signature as a method to make them visually distinguishable from the regular LED headlights.

There is no word yet on the engines that we will see on the car and those details will come closer to the launch. We will keep you posted, so stay tuned!
