2022 Hyundai Venue Facelift India Launch: Price Expectation

- The Hyundai Venue facelift will be launched on June 16, 2022

The 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift is all set to go on sale in India today, June 16, 2022. The subcompact SUV has not just been one of the top-selling models in the company's line-up, but also one of the best-selling SUVs in the Indian market. The Venue was first launched in India in 2019 and this is about the right time for a mid-cycle facelift. Now, we already know what the new Hyundai Venue will look like, with the company recently releasing photos of the SUV. However, there is still a lot that is yet to be revealed, and that includes the prices.

Now, the outgoing Hyundai Venue was priced starting from Rs. 7.11 lakh and went up to Rs. 11.84 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). In comparison, we believe the 2022 model will come with a slight bump in the price tag. That's mainly because, in addition to the updated styling, the car will also come with several new and updated features, tech and a slightly more upmarket interior. This will include new stylish exterior lighting, sportier alloys, a smarter-looking cabin and a new, bigger touchscreen infotainment system with more connected car tech. Given all that, we expect the Venue facelift to be priced from Rs. 7.29 lakh, going up to Rs. 12.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

The grille design and lighting pattern of the 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift are similar to the new-gen Tucson
Visually, the 2022 Hyundai Venue retains its basic silhouette, however, the styling is in line with the company's latest design trend. The grille design and lighting pattern are similar to the new-gen Tucson, while the rear section with the continuous LED light signature that connects the two LED taillights, and the rear bumper are inspired by the IONIQ5 electric crossover. Both these models are slated to be launched in India later this year. The SUV will be offered in seven colour choices, including a dual-tone Fiery Red option with a Phantom Black roof. Other options include - Typhoon Silver, Titan Grey, Denim Blue, Phantom Black, Polar White, and Fiery Red.

The 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift gets new connecting LED taillights and new bumpers
In terms of features, the Venue facelift will come with multiple drive modes (Normal, Eco, Sport), updated Bluelink connected car tech with over 60 features, Alexa & Google Voice Assistant support, and 2-step rear reclining seats. The infotainment system also gets a new sound of nature feature, while the voice assistant can understand 10 regional languages now. The car will be offered in six variants - E, S, S+, S(O), SX and SX(O).
Under the hood, the Venue will continue to be offered with three engines - 1.2-litre petrol, 1.0-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The 1.2-litre petrol unit will only come with a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the 1.0-litre turbo petrol will get the option of both a 6-speed iMT (intelligent manual transmission) and an automatic 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission). As for the 1.5-litre oil burner, it will continue to come with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard.
