- The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio Classic will feature a revised grille.
- The new spy images also reveal glimpse inside the car.
Mahindra is set to introduce rebranded Scorpio as the Scorpio Classic, differentiating it from the new Mahindra Scorpio-N in the company’s line-up. And so, a refreshed version will soon make its way to the dealerships, but ahead of its official launch, spy shots of the new Mahindra Scorpio Classic surfaced revealing important details about the SUV. The new set of spy images involves both its base and top-spec trims- S and S11 respectively and reveals more details of the upcoming SUV from the homegrown carmaker.
The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio Classic will feature a revised grille in front featuring the company’s “Twin Peaks” logo at the centre flanked by the vertical chrome slats.

The refreshed Mahindra Scorpio Classic will receive cosmetic updates to bring it more in line with the latest version of the car. The 2022 Mahindra Scorpio Classic will feature a revised grille in front featuring the company’s “Twin Peaks” logo at the centre flanked by the vertical chrome slats, a signature element on recent Mahindra cars. Moreover, expect the new Mahindra Scorpio Classic to also receive projector headlamps and a new fog lamp housing along with LED DRLs. The front bumper of the Mahindra Scorpio Classic also sees re-profiling to help differentiate it from the Mahindra Scorpio-N. The side of the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio Classic features added side cladding while it sits on 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. The rest of the profile remains largely identical to the previous model. At the back, you get the new Mahindra logo positioned on the tailgate with body-coloured bumper, while LED taillights complete the changes to the rear section of the SUV.
The Mahindra Scorpio Classic S11, the top-spec trim will receive a two-tone black & beige dashboard, with faux wooden inserts.

The new spy images also reveal a glimpse inside the car. The Mahindra Scorpio Classic S11, the top-spec trim will receive a two-tone black & beige dashboard, with faux wooden inserts, while the steering wheel sports the new logo and a ‘Scorpio Classic’ badge on the dashboard towards the passenger side. Expect the Mahindra Scorpio Classic to be a seven-seater model with side-facing jump seats in the third row. In terms of gadgets, we expect the Mahindra Scorpio Classic to feature a new 9-inch touchscreen system, most likely with wireless smartphone connectivity. Also, expect Mahindra to offer the car with automatic climate control semi-digital instrument cluster.
The lower trim, however, will feature black bumpers, door handles, steel wheels, and the ‘Scorpio Classic’ badge on the boot lid with an “S” denoting its variant. Apart from the dual-tone theme for the cabin, the base version misses out on a bunch of creature comforts. We will know more about it once the car gets launched.
The transmission will be handled by a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Under the hood, the Mahindra Scorpio Classic will equip the same diesel unit from the Mahindra Scorpio-N, and so you will get a 2.2-litre MHawk diesel mill that develops 130 bhp and 300 Nm, coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox powering the rear wheels. The Mahindra Scorpio Classic will be offered in the 2WD version only. Moreover, the company will not introduce the petrol unit with the Mahindra Scorpio Classic.
