Ahmedabad-Based Matter Introduces Matter Energy 1.0, India's First Liquid Cooled Electric Two-Wheele

- The Matter Energy1.0 has been completely developed in-house

- It uses "Super Smart" BMS to optimise efficiency, security & reliability
Ahmedabad-based technology start-up Matter has unveiled its new Matter Energy 1.0 battery pack for electric two-wheelers. The new system packs unique characteristics including an integrated intelligent thermal management system and a "Super Smart" battery management system. The company says its battery pack has been developed with Indian environmental and usage conditions in mind. The Integrated Intelligent Thermal Management System (IITMS) uses an active liquid cooling system that ensures the optimum performance of all constituents of the pack, which makes it India's first liquid-cooled electric two-wheeler battery pack.

Speaking about Matter Energy 1.0, Mohal Lalbhai, Founder and CEO, Matter, said "As the safety and performance of battery-powered electric vehicles are integral to their viability and acceptability, Matter has developed a highly purpose-built battery pack that will meet the needs of the E2w [electric two-wheeler] industry. Matter Energy 1.0, a breakthrough futuristic battery pack is fully charged and ready to power the EV 2W landscape in India"

The Matter Energy 1.0 battery packs high power density and is IP67 rated. The Super Smart BMS on the battery optimises system efficiency, security and reliability, says the company. Sensor systems have been used to guarantee optimal battery performance. The battery casing is built out of lightweight metal which is also thermally conductive. The company says it has prioritised the safety, battery life, and performance of the pack.

Matter Energy1.0 has been developed in-house with key innovations over the last few years including the BMS that has been developed to specifically ensure a high level of safety, security, reliability, and performance. The company hasn't revealed if it will be supplying or plans to supply batteries to two-wheeler players at the moment.
