Alpine F1 Duo Channel Daft Punk To Deliver Lionel Messi His 7th Ballon D'or

- The Alpine duo was in Paris for the Ballon Dor ceremony
- Alonso and Ocon wore helmets similar to Daft Punk
- They drove the Alpine A110s while reaching the ceremony
The Ballon D'or is the most prestigious award for a footballer and no one has won more than PSG's Lionel Messi who this year won his first international trophy with his national team, Argentina after it won the Copa America. Delivering the Ballon D'or were the Alpine F1 pair of former two-time world champion Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon who were at the ceremony as a part of Alpine's partnership with the Ballon D'or ceremony.
Both drivers arrived in the Alpine A110S sports car driving across the streets of Paris to arrive at the ceremony dressed in steel helmets channeling another French sensation - the acclaimed Grammy award-winning electronic act Daft Punk which separated only last year after a legendary 25-year stint together. Daft Punk have been known the world over for their helmets something the Alpine duo replicated.

Alonso of course in the last F1 race was back on the podium after a gap of 7 years in Qatar while his teammate Ocon scored a cool P4 building on top of his maiden win in Hungary earlier this year. All of this was done in between the break the drivers had after a tripe header across three continents -- just before the first race in Saudi Arabia. The Alpine team is currently P5 in the F1 constructor's championship after being rebranded from the Renault brand as its parent organisation focuses more on the Alpine sports car brand.
For Lionel Messi, this was also a huge year as after 18 years he shifted from Barcelona to PSG which is France's most famous club base in Paris itself. Messi is now part of a famed trio of forwards featuring Brazil's Neymar Jr, and the French sensation Mbappe.
