Ampere Electric Scooters Now On Sale Via Flipkart

- Initially only the Ampere Magnus EX e-scooter to be available via Flipkart
- Only available in Bengaluru, Kolkata, Jaipur, and Pune for now
- RTO registration, insurance and delivery to be handled by local dealers
Greaves Electric e-mobility arm Ampere Electric has announced a partnership with e-commerce firm Flipkart to retail its scooters online. Buyers in four cities across India will currently be able to purchase the Ampere Magnus EX electric scooter via the e-commerce platform as part of a pilot phase. More models and cities are expected to be added at a later stage.
Speaking about the announcement, Sanjay Behl, CEO & Executive Director, Greaves Electric Mobility said, “We are delighted to announce our partnership with Flipkart and expand the distribution of Ampere Electric scooters range to wider pockets of consumers. With Flipkart’s reach and the integrated and holistic service by our local authorized dealerships, the initiative will go a long way in reaching across India for electric two-wheelers. At Greaves, we are constantly endeavouring to bring a clean, green, best-in-segment, last-mile mobility experience to users.

As part of the pilot phase buyers in five cities can order the Ampere Magnus EX via the e-commerce platform.
Currently, buyers in Bengaluru, Kolkata, Jaipur, and Pune will be able to initiate the buying process via the e-commerce platform which will subsequently be handed over to local dealerships to continue to process. Greaves Electric says that buyers will be able to avail of state-specific subsidies and benefits via the e-commerce platform.
The RTO registration, insurance and delivery will be carried out by the local dealer who will contact customers post the order is placed. The company says that scooters will be delivered at the customer’s doorstep within a 15-day period.
Ampere is not the first brand to offer its scooters via the e-commerce channel. Bounce Infinity earlier this year also announced a tie-up with Flipkart to retail its scooters via the e-commerce platform.
