Ather Energy Achieves 50,000th Production Milestone

- Ather Energy manufactured 10,000 units in the last two months.
- First 10,000 units were sold in 35 months.
- In July 2022, Ather Energy sold 2,389 units.
Ather Energy rolled out its 50,000th electric scooter on Tuesday where the last 10,000 units were manufactured just in the last two month. Tarun Mehta, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) - Ather Energy took to Twitter, sharing the news. According to his tweet, it took Ather 35 months to exhaust its first batch of 10,000 units while the next 10,000 units rolled off the assembly line in just 5 months. The company achieved 30,000 production mark in another 5 months while the next 10,000 units were assembled in just three month, taking it to a total of 40,000. As already mentioned, the company took just 2 months to reach to the 50,000 production milestone from 40,000 units.
The constant increase in production number also hints at the company receiving good response in the market for its products. In July 2022, Ather Energy sold 2,389 units witnessing a 24 per cent year-on-year growth. Ather Energy also updated its 450 Plus and 450 X electric scooters to have a larger battery, larger tyres and rear view mirrors, and said that its production line was closed for 2 weeks to facilitate the transition to the new models, accounting for the decline in sales.
The company is also looking to expand its retail footprint to three new markets in the upcoming months. Currently, Ather is present in 38 markets and has 45 experience centres. Ather Energy currently has 2 models on offer, the Ather 450 Plus & the Ather 450 X.
