Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS to Be Called RS 200 in India; Launching Soon

Highlights
Bajaj Auto will soon launch its fully-faired 200cc Pulsar in the Indian market, hints a teaser image revealed by the company yesterday. The teaser image also reveals that unlike other international markets, where it is branded as the 200 SS, the bike will be called the Pulsar RS 200 in India. The teaser image also claims that it is the 'fastest Pulsar yet'. However, the tag of being the 'fastest Pulsar' will only be for a short span of time, as the company is planning to launch more powerful CS 400 and SS 400 bikes under Pulsar brand.
Though the Pulsar RS 200 is based on the NS200, it shares its design with the SS 400 concept that was unveiled at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. Powering the bike will be the same 199.55cc engine that also powers the NS200. This engine is good for 23bhp and 18Nm.
Talking about design, the Pulsar RS 200 will feature a tank similar to that of the NS200. Other features include twin-projector head-lamp, clip-on handlebar, a small-side slung exhaust, spilt seat design and the NS-200 inspired plastic splatter guard.
Expected to be priced around Rs 1.1 lakh, the Pulsar RS 200 will compete against the likes of Yamaha R15 and KTM RC200.
