Car Sales November 2025: Major Brands Witness Dip In Domestic Numbers After Bumper October

- Hyundai retook the second spot in the market
- Maruti Suzuki saw best overall sales in November
- Kia India recorded its best-ever November
After having a bumper month in October owing to reduced GST rates coupled with the festive season, major carmakers were able to sustain the momentum in November, well almost. While multiple companies like Mahindra, Skoda, and Kia had reported best-ever sales during October, in November the numbers ended up at a slightly lower level in comparison.
Maruti Suzuki
Country’s biggest carmaker Maruti Suzuki led the way by dispatching a total of 2,29,021 units during the month, which is its highest-ever monthly number. This included domestic sales of 1,74,593 units and 46,057 export units. Interestingly the domestic numbers were slightly lower than October 2025 when 1,76,318 passenger vehicles were sold. The brand also dispatched 8,371 units ot other OEMs during the month.

Hyundai
At the second spot in November was Hyundai which reported total sales of 66,840 units during the month which included sales of 50,340 units in the domestic market. This was lower than previous month when 53,792 units were dispatched in the country. There was a slight increase in exports with the brand dispatching 16,500 against 16,102 units sent out in October. The brand also shared that the new Hyundai Venue, launched in early November has been able to garner 32,000 booking since its introduction.
Tata Motors
Tata Motors, too, reported a dip in monthly sales after a record breaking October. A total of 57,436 cars were dispatched in the domestic market against 61,134 units sold in the previous month. A total of 7,911 electric vehicles were dispatched by the company which included both domestic sales as well as exports.

Mahindra
Mahindra sold 56,336 vehicles in the domestic market in November, which was much lower than 71,624 unit dispatched in October. The brand also sold 24,843 Commercial Vehicles during the month. 2923 units were also exported in November, a small rise of 5%. Year-to-date carmaker reported a 18 per cent year-on-year sales growth with total domestic wholesales amounting to 425530 units in FY 2026.
Kia Motors
Kia India recorded its best-ever November sales by selling 25,489 units during the month. But this was lower than the 29,556 units sold in October which was the brand’s best-ever performance in a calendar month in India. YTD domestic sales also rose with the company selling 261,627 units this year up, up from 236,043 last year.
Toyota
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) sold a total of 33,752 units in November 2025 which included 30,085 units sold in the domestic market while 3,667units were exported. In comparison, the brand had domestic wholesales of 40,257 units in October while Exports stood at 2,635 units for the month.
Skoda
Backed by the strong performance of Kylaq SUV, Skoda India 5,491 units in November 2025 in the market. The brand had sold a total of 8,252 units in the month of October. In its silver jubilee year in India the Czech brand also crossed the 5 lakh sales milestone. Škoda Auto has already registered its highest-ever annual sales in the first ten months of 2025.
JSW MG Motor
JSW MG Motor India sold a total of 5754 units in November 2025 which was lower than 6,397 units in dispatched October 2025. The brand achieved 32% year-to-date (YTD) wholesale growth during January-November 2025 compared to the same period in CY 2024.The company’s luxury retail channel, MG SELECT, also surpassed the 1,000-unit sales milestone during last month
Renault
Renault India reported wholesales of 3,662 units in November 2025 compared to 2,811 units sold in the same month of the previous year, reflecting a 30.27% year on year increase. The brand sold 2,064 units of the new Triber and 1,151 units of the new Kiger, compared to 1,486 units and 779 units respectively in the same month last year.
