Why Common Car Problems Should Get Rectified Immediately?
The minor issues that emerge while driving your car daily might not seem too serious initially. However, such things can create even bigger problems and repair costs if not addressed rightly at the right time. They can even lead to a sudden failure of an entire system, leading to a potential threat in the form of an accident or mishap.
Common Car Problems
Several minor issues do pop up in the conditions of frequent city driving and the occasional highway trips. Following are some of those problems and methods for how to deal with them:
- Dead Battery –
If you leave the electricals of your car on for a long time or the alternator becomes faulty, the condition of the battery starts deteriorating and it just gives on one unfortunate minute. To come out of this situation, you can either jump start the car using a jumper cable and a donor car or charge the battery. Even if it refuses to rejuvenate, replace it with a new battery. - Low Cooling from Air Conditioner –
If your car's air conditioner fails to cool down the cabin even after a significant time, there are multiple reasons behind this inefficiency. The most common reasons are AC gas leakage, exhaustion of AC gas or broken or clogged compressor. In such cases, the air conditioning system of your car should need a thorough inspection by a trained mechanic. - Uneven Tyre Wear –
If you notice that the tyres of your car are wearing out in a non-uniform manner, that is, more wear on one tyre as compared to the other tyres, it indicates misalignment or misbalancing of wheels. To prevent the tyres from undergoing further uneven tread wear, you should get wheel alignment and wheel balancing done right. - Low Fuel Efficiency –
If all of a sudden, your car starts returning fuel efficiency lower than usual, it might be an aftermath of faulty spark plugs and oxygen sensors or clogged air filter, fuel filter and fuel injectors. In such a case of getting lower fuel efficiency, you should get all these components checked by a mechanic and replace or clean them, if necessary.
- Squealing of Brakes –
If your car's brakes start squealing or make unpleasant noises during braking, it is a signal of worn-out brake pads. If such brake pads are not replaced on time, it can result in severe accidents. So, you should get such worn-out brake pads as early as possible.
