Cricketer Ajinkya Rahane Adds The BMW 6 Series GT To His Garage

Indian cricketer and IPL team Kolkata Knight Rider player Ajinkya Rahane is the newest celebrity to bring new wheels to his garage. The ace player recently took the delivery of his new BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo. Rahane has purchased the 6 Series GT 630i M Sport priced at Rs. 69.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India) and the model offers better comfort and space in the second row over the 5 Series in the automaker's line-up. It's also a nice way for the cricketer to recuperate given his hamstring injury forced to sit out of this season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Ajinkya Rahane has bought the BMW 6 Series GT in the pristine white shade. The 630i M Sport draws power from the 2.0-litre twin-turbo petrol engine tuned for 187 bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque. The motor is paired with an 8-speed transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. The 6 Series GT can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 6.5 seconds and has a top speed of 250 kmph. The model is also offered with the 2.0-litre and 3.0-litre diesel engine options with up to 620 Nm of peak torque on offer.
Compared to the 5 Series, the BMW 6 Series GT gets a longer wheelbase for enhanced legroom in the second row. It's also loaded on the feature front and packs a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a 12.3-inch digital instrument console, ambient lighting, 360-degree camera, four-zone climate control, electrically adjustable rear seats and more. The model has been restyled based on the 5 Series and gets the wider kidney grille up front, revised LED headlights as well as revised bumpers.

Apart from the new BMW 6 Series GT, Rahane also owns the Audi Q5 and has had a Volvo in the past. Interestingly, the cricketer's first car was the Maruti Suzuki WagonR much like many of us, and Rahane had shared a picture on his social media a couple of years ago reminiscing his humble days.
