Essential 7 Car Safety Features In India

Since 2019 the Government of Indian has started taking measures and made laws for car safety. It has made it a priority for car manufacturers and owners to comply with these laws. They checked the driver side airbags and ABS becoming mandatory on all cars, a much-needed step towards road safety. However, we must know that the Ministry of Road transport and highways didn't stop there and they don't want to stop there. Therefore, they are taking active measures seriously and they are actively making safety measures mandatory to provide a safe driving environment for everyone who drives cars. There are seven essential features in India that you should follow to have a safe drive for a safe life.
Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS):
What is the work of an anti-Lock braking system? It prevents the wheels from locking up in case of sudden braking. As this is so important, this feature becomes a mandatory requirement on cars manufactured in India from 1st April 2019. The car's system achieves this by applying brakes in a squeeze-release motion i.e., the brake pads/shoes constantly pinch and release the disc/drum to achieve maximum braking without locking or losing steering control.

Electronic Brakeforce Distribution EBD:
EBD or the Electronic Brakeforce distribution system functions in sync with the ABS for providing the braking force required for the individual wheels with more traction to ensure that braking is effective. EBD or the Electronic Brakeforce distribution is essential as the front end of the car carries more weight and equal brake pressure on all wheels would render the car going out of control, with the car's rear end skidding since it is lighter as compared to the front.
Electronic Stability Control ESC:
ESC or the Electronic stability control is the consolidation of subsystems like ABS, EBD and Traction control that work towards stabilizing the vehicle by modulating the throttle and brake inputs for maximum driver control. ESC is achieved by a network of sensors and an onboard computer that is constantly monitoring the car's behavior.
Speed Warning:

Speed warning is very important and according to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, about 70% of accidents occur due to over-speeding. Therefore, from July 2019, speed warning systems were made compulsory on all cars.
Type Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS):
TPMS or Type pressure monitoring system is an electronic system that is designed to gauge the air pressure of a vehicle's tyres and shows air pressure in real-time. Tyre pressure monitoring system's information is indicated to the driver, through a gauge, graphical display or simple low-pressure warning light and guiding them to correct the air pressure if necessary.
Parking Sensor:

Parking sensors are very important because parking is an important part of driving and we cannot see backwards. Parking sensors emit acoustic pulses with a device that also measures the interval taken for the pulse to reflect and come back and if there is no sound you are fine but if something is blocking your path and there is a warning sound you need to stop immediately.
ISOFIX:
ISOFIX are attachment points for child seats in the car. Every child till the age of 12 need special seats in the car and this is when this is needed.
