Famous One-make Racing Championships in India

A one-make motorsport championship typically refers to events where all the participating vehicles are of one common make and model. With increasing interest in motorsports in our country, many manufacturers have started hosting one make events for both professional racers and individual vehicle owners. They also help provide a platform for aspiring racers. Let us take a look at some of the famous One-make Championships in India.
MRF MMSC Volkswagen Polo NRC

The MRF MMSC Volkswagen Polo National Racing Championship, previously called The Polo Cup, has been around since 2010. This year, in 2021, it held its 12th edition after one year of virtual racing due to the pandemic. The vehicle used in the race is always a Polo GT TSi and they have a customer program that allows rally drivers to get a factory-prepared Volkswagen Polo rally car.
TVS One-Make Championship

TVS One-Make Championship was the pioneer of One-Make Motorcycle Championships in India. Inaugurated in 1992 on the Madras Motor Race Track, the main motive of this event was to provide a safe racing platform to budding riders. Post the launch of the TVS Apache though, this event also focused on creating a platform for promoting and track testing their motorcycle models.
Yamaha R15 One Make Race Championship

If you enjoy riding motorcycles and racing them, the Yamaha R15 One Make Race Championship is a must-see. Muffler Assembly, Open ECU, High Rise Cam Shaft, and Petal-shaped Disc are all included in the Racing Kit. This is fantastic news since riders who do not possess a Yamaha R15 can still participate.
Hornet 2.0 One-make Race

The MRF MMSC Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship (INMRC) will begin its 2021 season this weekend at the Madras Motor Race Track (MMRT). For this year's competition, Honda is adding a new Hornet 2.0 One Make Race category, which will run alongside the Honda India Talent Cup.
The 15-rider grid will be invite-only at first, but Honda hopes to open it up to customers by the halfway point of the season.
