Faraday Future To Debut Formula E Racing Team At Hong Kong ePrix On 9 Oct
- Faraday Future & Dragon Racing announced their alliance in July 2016
- In the future, the team will assimilate more Faraday Future technologies
- The team will debut at Formula E Season 3's inaugural race in Hong Kong
The US-based start-up became technical partner and title sponsor of the Dragon Racing team in July this year, thus establishing one of the first partnership between a major racing team and a technology start-up. The team was also renamed to Faraday Future Dragon Racing.
Starting from Formula E Season 3, the two will together develop key solutions to maximize performance capabilities within the vehicles' powertrains, improve overall drivetrain performance and refine data acquisition and analytics to result in more accurate predictions of vehicle performance and efficiency. In the future, the team will assimilate more Faraday Future technologies, including software, firmware, motors, gearbox and the FF Echelon Inverter to the racing vehicles.
FFZERO Concept
Among Faraday Future's endeavours towards the development of electric vehicles is also its strategic partnership with Chinese technology company LeEco. Together, they unveiled their first concept car, the FFZERO1 Concept, at CES 2016 (Consumer Electronics Show) in January this year. Interestingly, LeEco raised USD 1.08 billion last month for its electric car project.
