Hero XPulse 200 4V Rally Edition: Everything You Need To Know

The Hero XPulse 200 4V Rally Edition has been launched in India with a price of Rs. 1.52 lakh (Ex-showroom). The Limited Edition model will be available for bookings on the company’s online sales platform, eSHOP from July 22, 2022, 12 pm onwards till July 29, 2022, 12 pm. With the XPulse 200 4V Rally Edition, customers can get a factory custom variant of the XPulse 200 4V with more off-road ready features and specifications. Enhanced suspension set-up, more ground clearance, and other off-road ready features will be available straight from the factory. Here’s a look at what you will get in the new Hero XPulse 200 4V Rally Edition.
Factory-Fitted Rally Kit
The Hero XPulse 200 4V Rally Edition gets a factory-fitted Rally Kit, featuring taller and fully-adjustable front suspension with 250 mm travel and a fully-adjustable 10-step rear suspension with 220 mm travel. The XPulse 200 Rally Edition comes with a seat height of 885 mm, handlebar risers of 40 mm, increased ground clearance of 270 mm, wheelbase of 1,426 mm and increased trail of 116 mm to offer a confident riding stance off-road.

The Rally Edition gets taller fully-adjustable suspension at the front and rear as standard fit.
Engine & Performance
The Hero XPulse 200 4V Rally Edition is powered by the same 200 cc, four-valve, oil-cooled engine which puts out 18.9 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 13.7 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm, as the standard XPulse 200 4V. The 5-speed gearbox is also the same as the standard XPulse 200 4V. The XPulse 200 4V Rally Edition features the same 7-fin oil cooler, which is said to offer better heat management in heavy traffic.
Design & Off-Road Equipment
The XPulse 200 4V Rally Edition is said to be inspired by the Hero MotoSports Rally Bike, and features the same colour combination of Hero MotoSports Team Rally, and comes with the Rally team’s rider CS Santhosh’s autograph on the top of the fuel tank. The basic design of the XPulse 200 4V is retained but takes the bike’s off-road credibility several notches higher with the long-travel suspension, increased ground clearance and handlebar risers.

The Rally Edition lacks the Maxxis knobby tyres and flat seat from the Rally Kit; colour and graphics inspired from Hero's rally team.
The bike also comes with an aluminium skid plate that protects the engine, toothed brake pedal for maximum grip and control, as well as an extended gear lever and longer side stand. The bike remains light weight with a kerb weight of 160 kg.
Price
The Hero XPulse 200 4V Rally Edition is priced at Rs. 1,52,100 (Ex-showroom), and the bike’s production run will be limited. However, it does miss out on the knobby tyres from Maxxis, as well as the flat, rally-style seat which is offered in the Rally Kit. The flat, rally seat is available for Rs. 2,850 while the Maxxis knobby tyres are priced at Rs. 16,500.
The Rally Kit for the XPulse 200 4V is an add-on pack that costs an additional Rs 46,000 over the standard bike.
The standard Rally Kit is a bolt-on solution to the stock XPulse 200 4V which includes all the features of the Rally Edition, but needs to be purchased separately, in addition to a stock Hero XPulse 200 4V. In pricing, the XPulse 200 4V Rally Edition makes for a more competitive pricing than the Rally Kit, which is priced at Rs. 46,000, and will need to be installed on a regular Hero XPulse 200 4V, priced at Rs. 1,35,978 (Ex-showroom, Delhi). The Rally Edition, though limited in numbers, offers a factory-fitted Rally Kit and can be purchased with the off-road spec kit from the Hero eSHOP and online configurator. The Rally Kit is also available for the Hero XPulse 200 two-valve variant, which is still available on sale, and priced at Rs. 1,26,778 (Ex-showroom, Delhi).
