Step-by-Step Guide to Renew Driver's License Online
Before we move on to the steps, let us tell you that the validity of a renewed license is typically shorter. Unlike the first-issued license, the renewed license holds a much short validity period. Without further ado, here are all the steps you need to know to renew your driver's license online:
- Step 1: To begin the process, visit the Parivahan Seva website
- Step 2: On the left side of the page, you'll find the option ‘Apply Online'
- Step 3: Under the ‘Apply Online' menu, you'll find a section ‘Driving License Related Services'
- Step 4: After clicking on the option, the website will redirect you to another page. Now, on this page, enter the required credentials
- Step 5: After again redirecting to a new page, you will have to click on apply online and choose ‘Sevices on Driving License'
- Step 6: The next page will outline all the information you need to know to fill your DL renewal application. Make sure to give it a good read before proceeding with the process. Click on ‘Next' after you complete reading.
- Step 7: In this step, you are required to provide your current license number, birth date, pin code, and other such credentials.
- Step 8: You will next come across a set of various license services. From the options, select ‘Renewal.'
- Step 9: After selecting the renewal option, the website will ask you to fill other vehicle-related information
- Step 10: Upload a clear picture and signature on the next page. You must know that this feature is only available in a few states.
- Step 11: If there are changes in your medical certificate, you can book a slot for a new driving test.
- Step 12: After completing all the above steps, the website will reflect an Acknowledgement page. You can cross-check the credentials and view the application ID on this page. Also, you will receive an SMS on the registered mobile number stating all the details.
- Step 13: You have to pay a sum of Rs. 200 to complete the renewal process. You can pay this sum through debit/credit cards or even net banking.
