Hyundai Venue N Line Revealed Ahead Of Launch; Bookings Open

- Venue N Line will be available in two trims - N6 and N8
- Will be powered by a 118 bhp 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 7-speed DCT gearbox

Hyundai has revealed the new Venue N Line ahead of its launch early next month. The sportier derivative of the company’s subcompact SUV, the Venue N Line gets a number of cosmetic tweaks to give it a more aggressive look along with a few tweaks under the skin as well. The carmaker has also opened bookings for the new N Line with buyers able to book the vehicle online via Hyundai’s Click To Buy platform or at dealerships. The booking amount is set at Rs 21,000. The Venue N Line will be available in two trim levels – N6 and N8.
Starting with the design, the Venue N Line gets a revised version of the ‘parametric jewel grille’ with smaller jewel-like chrome elements on the grille and a notable mesh pattern visible behind it. The grille also appears wider than on the standard variant with the gloss-finished frame on the sides now also featuring the parametric design elements. The front bumper too has been changed with a new unit featuring a vent in the centre, split skid plate-like elements and red highlights.

Down the sides, the 16-inch alloy wheels are specific to the N Line with red highlights again visible on the lower doors. Moving to the rear, the Venue N Line gets a roof-mounted spoiler with the lower bumper featuring a different skid plate design to the standard SUV along with a visible dual-tip exhaust with Hyundai claiming that the N Line will feature a sportier exhaust note.
Buyers will have three exterior colours to choose from – Polar white, Shadow Grey and Thunder Blue – with the latter only available in dual tone.
Revised grille gets thinner jewel-like elements that stretch into the gloss-finished frame on either side giving it a wider look.
Inside, the cabin is an all-black affair compared to the dual-tone colours of the standard Venue. Hyundai has additionally used red accents in multiple paces to add a sporting touch to the design. The Venue N Line will carry over a number of features from the standard subcompact SUV such as drive modes, Blue Link connected car tech and a sunroof though Hyundai has said it will get an additional feature – an on-board dashcam.

Coming to the engine, Hyundai has confirmed that the Venue N Line will be powered by the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine delivering 118 bhp and 172 Nm of torque – identical to the standard model. Power will be sent to the front wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Hyundai says that the N Line will also offer a sporty ride and handling suggesting that it could tweak the suspension set-up from the standard model. The N Line will also get four-wheel disc brakes with the front callipers finished in red to add to the sporty appeal.
The Venue N Line will be priced at a premium over the standard subcompact SUV.
