Isuzu D-Max V-Cross Recalled In India Over Jerky Power Delivery

- Customers complained of jerky power delivery at lower rpms
- Isuzu will install an ECU software upgrade on all V-Cross units sold
- The company has started contacting customers to recall the pickup
The issue was reported by many owners complaining of erratic jerks around 1800rpm on the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross. Moreover, owners complained that the power delivery wasn't smooth across the rev range. Isuzu took a note of this problem and has zeroed the issue to the engine mapping. The company says the software upgrade on the ECU will take approximately 30 minutes and offers smoother delivery of power.

The recall extends to all Isuzuki V-Max D-Cross owners and the company has already commenced contacting customers to bring in the pickup for the upgrade. Owners who are yet to get a call from the automaker can always connect with their respective dealership about the same. As with all recalls, the complete recall exercise is free of charge.
In addition, there have been reports of certain customers facing issues with the rear leaf spring that makes clanking sounds over undulations. This issue however, is not part of the recall and instead will be inspected on a case-to-case basis.
