Kia EV6 Unplugged Ground wins 2022 Red Dot Award

Kia was awarded its third Red Dot Award for 2022 with its ‘EV6 Unplugged Ground' complex being awarded the ‘Best of the Best' in the Interior Architecture and Interior Design category. The latest award was preceded by the carmaker winnings awards in the Best Design and innovative Product categories for the all-electric EV6. Opened earlier this year, Kia's EV6 Unplugged Ground complex in Seoul, South Korea is a space dedicated to Kia's first purpose-built EV allowing people to experience the vehicle in innovative ways.
“The purpose of ‘EV6 Unplugged Ground' was to convey a message about a new life – recycling, sustainability, future mobility and electric vehicles. We chose Seongsu as it was a neighborhood that has also been ‘reborn', much like the Kia brand,” said Ji-Min Kim, Head of Korea Business Strategy Group at Kia. “For this space to receive recognition from prestigious design experts at Red Dot is a huge boost for everyone at Kia.”

The Kia EV6 was awarded the Best of the Best title in the Red Dot Design Award
The purpose built complex is said to provide with people with a variety of services in relation to the brand's EV ranging from experience zones, advice on the car to being able to test drive the EV6.
The Red Dot Awards are one of the largest design competitions in the world divided over three categories – Product Design, Brands and Communication and Design Concept, with entries assessed by a 50 member jury of designers, design professors and journalists.
