Mahindra Scorpio bulletproof version for the people on target

Bulletproof vehicles are not something new that I have heard of, but what really excited me to write this article is the fact that this vehicle isn't a rare or an uncommon one, but is our very own Scorpio. Yes, Mahindra Group owned company Defence Land Systems has introduced a bulletproof kit for its popular SUV - the Scorpio. The kit will turn a regular Scorpio into an super 'Safe' vehicle to drive. This kit is available in three variants namely Executive, Premium and VVIP, at Rs 12.67 lakh, Rs 16.07 lakh and Rs 18.33 lakh, respectively. Any of the three kits can be booked by paying Rs 75,000.
The Scorpio with the bulletproof kit will guard its occupants if shots are fired from a 9mm pistol at distance of 5m at 90 degree angle of attack. Also, the fuel tank with fire suppression material will avoid a fire, and the special glasses can withstand 9mm pistol attack. The kit also includes a real time tracking device.
Features offered with the Executive kit are bulletproof glass, fire proof fuel tank, real time vehicle tracking device and bulletproof body panels. The Premium kit additionally has features like bulletproof panel, and run flat system that will allow a driver to run the vehicle even in a case of tyre being hit by a bullet. The most expensive kit VVIP offers blast proof carpet and bulletproof glass with power windows, along with all the features offered with the Executive and Premium kits.
The company is providing two-year warranty and 1 year insurance free for all the equipments offered with the bulletproof kits. Moreover, six services will be offered free of cost. These kits can be bought through Snapdeal.
