Mercedes CLA 45 AMG to Hit Indian Shores on July 22

Mercedes-Benz India has been on a launch spree this year, with the most recent ones being the Edition 1 models of the A-Class and the B-Class, which were launched in June. Turns out, the next product to join the company's portfolio in India will be the CLA 45 AMG. Mercedes-Benz announced that the CLA 45 AMG will be launched on July 22 at the Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida.
The CLA 45 AMG is the performance-oriented version of the sub-compact sedan CLA-Class, which will also make its way to India by early 2015. Powering the CLA 45 AMG is the world's most powerful production 4-cylinder engine aka a 2.0-litre direct-injection turbocharged petrol unit that puts out 355bhp and 450Nm torques. This mighty engine helps the the car achieve the 0 - 100Km/h mark in a mere 4.6 seconds, along with a top-speed of 250Km/h.
Transmitting power to the four wheels of the car is a 7-speed AMG Speedhsift gearbox via Mercedes' 4MATIC drivetrain system. Key features to be found on the CLA 45 AMG are nine airbags, adaptive brake with hold function and attention assist, and Apple iPhone supported display with TFT technology among others.
To arrive on Indian shores via the CBU (Completely Built-up Unit) route, the CLA 45 AMG will be the most affordable AMG model in India.
