New KTM 390 Duke Spied Testing in India

First seen on international roads last year, the new-gen KTM 390 Duke has not been spied testing on Indian roads. One of the manufacturer's popular offerings in the market, the Duke-line up is set to receive several updates over the current models both cosmetically and under the skin. The spy images show that the bike wears a new fairing with prominent fuel tank extensions and more prominent bezels around the headlamp. The overall design looks similar to the one seen on the Duke 125 test mule seen on international roads earlier this year. Interestingly the test bike featured an underbody exhaust in place of the current model's side exhaust, similar to the ones in the first generation models.
The design updates aside, the new 390 Duke is set to get a new rear sub-frame and swingarm with an off-set mono-shock rear suspension. Reports suggest that the new Duke 390 will get a new digital instrument cluster which will include a read-out for navigation.

The engine casing too is expected to be altered over the current Duke though it remains to be seen if the new model will receive an update to power and torque figures. The current KTM 390 Duke's 373 cc engine makes a healthy 43 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 37 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The new model is also expected to get some new electronics with likely upgrades over the current model, including the option of selectable ride modes. The standard quickshifter will likely be retained, as well as the slip-and-assist clutch.
The new 390 Duke is expected to make its debut later this year.
