Skoda has essentially given last year's Enyaq RS Race Concept a facelift for 2025. Originally unveiled in October 2024, the original concept was based on the pre-facelifted Enyaq Coupe RS. The production SUV went on to receive a facelift earlier this year, and well, the concept looks to have followed.

As with its predecessor, the new RS Race Concept moves away from the use of carbon fibre, instead using bio-composite materials featuring flax fibres to shed over 300 kg of weight – 316 kg to be exact. The material can be found across multiple body panels, including the roof, fenders, bonnet, bumpers, side panels, inside door panels and even the rear wing. As with the previous race car concept, the new RS Race Concept sits 70 mm lower to the ground with the front and rear tracks increased by 72 mm and 116 mm, respectively. The standard car’s adaptive suspension has been swapped out with race-spec units, while the brakes have been upgraded to carbon ceramic units.

The cabin, like in the previous concept, has been stripped down to the bare bones with a pair of racing bucket seats replete with six-point safety harnesses. The 13-inch central touchscreen is retained while the digital instrument cluster is replaced by a compact 5-inch display behind the race-spec steering. The cabin too features extensive use of bio-composite materials, such as in the footwells and for the dashboard construction.

Moving to the powertrain, Skoda has said that it has made no updates to the powertrain from the road car – 335 bhp and 545 Nm, with top speed continuing to be capped at 180 kmph. The lightweighting, however, has seen the 0-100 kmph time reduce by 0.9 seconds over the road car to 4.6 seconds from 5.5 seconds.

On the design front, the new RS Race Concept follows the same basic design as the facelifted Skoda Enyaq Coupe RS, replete with the Tech Deck fascia and split headlamp design. Notable changes, however, come in the form of an extreme aero package similar to those on Skoda’s rally cars, along with notably flared wheel arches and a rally-inspired livery.
