Highlights

Nissan has announced a broad recall over an airbag problem that potentially affects nearly one million vehicles. The company has said that it has not received any reports of accidents or injuries because of the problem, which it claims can be fixed via a software revision.

The major problem with the software is that sometimes it tends to misjudge the presence of an adult occupant in the passenger seat, disabling the passenger front airbag as if an infant might be placed there.

The company claims that the issue is said to affect the 2014 Infiniti Q50 and QX60, along with any 2013 to 2014 Nissan Altima, Pathfinder, Leaf or Sentra.

The recall is expected to start from mid-April.
