Planning To Buy A Used Honda Amaze? Here Are Some Pros And Cons

- The Honda Amaze is one of the nicer subcompact sedans in the market
- The Amaze is offered in both petrol and diesel engine options
- The second-gen Honda Amaze was launched in India back in 2018
The Honda Amaze is one of the nicer subcompact sedans in India right now and one of our top picks if you are looking for something in this category. The Amaze is designed well, gets good features and is offered in both petrol and diesel engines. The second-gen model was launched in 2018 and has completed over three years in the Indian market. In fact, earlier this year, the car also received its mid-life facelift. However, if you are planning to buy a used Honda Amaze, then here are some pros and cons you must know about.

Earlier this year, the Honda Amaze received its first mid-life facelift
Pros
1. The Honda Amaze, like any other Honda car, is a well-built model and comes with the right proportions. In fact, the styling of the current-gen model is inspired by some of the premium Honda cars.
2. The Honda Amaze was crash tested by Global NCAP in May 2019 at 64 kmph for frontal-offset and scored a four-star safety rating for adult occupant protection.

Honda Amaze diesel engine
3. The Amaze comes with a torquey 1.5-litre diesel engine that's fun to drive. If you plan to get the 2nd gen model you can even get a CVT option.
4. The Honda Amaze gets a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, called Digipad-2 with both Apple Carplay and Android Auto. It also gets a start-stop button and automatic climate control.
Cons
1. The pre-facelift Amaze, which you'll get in the used car market, lacks some common features like - LED/projector headlamps, diamond-cut alloy wheels or even an armrest for the driver.

2. The 2021 Honda Amaze misses out on rear air-con vents which is a big miss in our opinion. The cabin too is a bit dated.
3. The Honda Amaze's 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, the naturally aspirated engine doesn't feel as spirited as the diesel version. The CVT make the situation worse.

4. The second-gen Honda Amaze is still relatively new, so there will be limited options in the used car market.
