Key Highlights
- The Hyundai verna is quite popular in the used car market.
- It is one of the sexiest looking compact sedans in India.
- It is very well-equipped in the creature comforts department.
The Hyundai Verna has been one of the oldest nameplates on sale in India and is also quite popular in the used car market. While the new Hyundai Verna is BS6-compliant and has been comprehensively updated with new powertrains and looks, it went on sale in India just last year and so chances are that you'll get pre-facelift model in the resale market. Prices for a used Verna should range between Rs. 3.8 lakh to Rs. 7 lakh, depending on the city and model year of the car. If you are planning to buy a used Hyundai Verna, here are some pros and cons you should look at.
Pros
- The Hyundai Verna is one of the sexiest looking cars in its segment. The front end is adorned by a signature-style cascading chrome grille which is flanked by LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs. It also gets a sharp front bumper, diamond-cut alloy wheels, chrome door handles, revamped LED taillamps, new rear bumper and redesigned boot lid.

The Hyundai Verna is well equipped in the creture comforts department.
- On the inside too the Hyundai Verna looks very stylish. It comes with a dual-tone black-beige colour scheme and the floating design looks very nice.
- The cabin is also very well equipped. It comes with a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated seats, smart trunk, emergency stop signal, Eco coating, rear USB charger, sliding front armrest with storage and an acoustic sound system among others.
Cons
- The Hyundai Verna isn't the most spacious car in its segment. Headroom and kneeroom at the rear are tight.

Even the pre-facelift Hyundai Verna looks very sharp.
- The steering of the pre facelift Hyundai Verna feels lacks feedback. While at lower speeds it is feather light and that helps in city traffic conditions, but it doesn't weigh up adequately at higher speeds.
- The resale value of the Hyundai Verna isn't high so if you would want to sale it again, chances are you'll have to sell it at much lower price.
