Porsche Macan Facelift Cabin Revealed In New Spy Shots

Images of the new test mule of the 2019 Porsche Macan facelift has surfaced online and for the first time, we get to see the updated cabin of the SUV, sans camouflage. The facelifted Porsche Macan comes with some considerable amount of updates, like a revised interior, a redesigned dashboard, and a bunch of new equipment and features. The biggest change made to the cabin is the new larger display for the infotainment system, which appears to be a tad north of the 12-inch mark.
In order to place the new infotainment screen, Porsche also had to reposition some other elements on the dashboard, as we can see, the vertically placed centre aircon vents from before are gone. Now, the Macan gets new sleeker, horizontal vents with chrome highlights, which are placed below the infotainment display. The dashboard panels are now bigger and come with a glossy finish, while the clock on the top of the dashboard still retains its designated spot.

Also, the centre console, though slightly restyled now, continue to come with an array of buttons for in-car control and the gear shifter lever at the centre. While the steering design looks a bit similar to the outgoing model, the Macan facelift gets a new, larger instrument cluster, apart from few other minor tweaks here and there.

The exterior of the Porsche Macan facelift hasn't changed much since we last saw a test mule in January. The SUV comes with a new set of LED headlamps with LED DRL bands below them, and a new, more muscular front bumper. The latest test mule is also seen with a set of new silver alloy wheels, instead of the black ones from before. The rear section gets a set one LED taillamps with a bunch of black masking tapes to hide the cluster design, and there is a new quad exhaust system.

Under the hood, the 2018 Porsche Macan will most likely come with two new engines- a new 3.0-litre, single turbocharged V6 engine and a 2.9-litre turbocharged V6 engine. The new engines are expected to churn out more power than the outgoing engines. Moreover, we also expect Porsche to introduce a hybrid version, the hardware sourced from the Panamera, along with possibly an all-electric version of the Macan facelift.
