Highlights

  • Cosmetic updates to include an updated fascia, new wheel designs and more
  • Powertrains expected to be carried over unchanged
  • Launch expected later this year

The upcoming Renault Triber facelift has been spied testing on Indian roads ahead of its debut later this year. The spy shots provide a glimpse at the updated design of the subcompact SUV, which has been on sale in India without a mid-lifecycle update since 2019.

The spy shots reveal some of the design updates to the Triber, particularly around the fascia. The headlamps look to carry forward the same design as the outgoing model, though the internals appear to be new. The units look to feature LED daytime running lamps along the upper edge and also lack the projectors of the current model, suggesting Renault could offer LED reflector units. The grille looks to be an enclosed unit, while the bumper design is all new with low-set fog lamps and a large central air vent.

Moving to the sides, the MPV is expected to retain its silhouette, with changes to the windowline also unlikely. The test mule, however, looks to get new design wheels, though it remains to be seen if alloy wheels will be offered on top variants.

At the rear, the heavy camouflage hides away a lot of the details, though, expect the MPV to get a redesigned rear bumper along with revised tail lights.

Mechanically, the Triber is unlikely to get any changes with the current 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine expected to be carried forward. The unit will be paired with either a 5-speed manual or an AMT.
