Simple One Electric Scooter Pre-Orders To Begin From August 15

- Simple One electric scooter will be launched on August 15, 2021
- The Simple One will have 240 km range in Eco mode, and 100 kmph top speed
- The Simple One will be available pan-India; pre-orders to open at launch
Simple Energy, a Bengaluru-based electric vehicle start-up will launch its first electric scooter, the Simple One, on August 15, 2021. Pre-orders for the Simple One electric scooter will also begin from the day of the launch, the company said in an official statement. The Simple One was to be be launched in Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad, followed by other cities in its first phase of launch and expansion. But now, Simple Energy says that it will launch the Simple One electric scooter across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Maharastra, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Punjab.

The Simple One electric scooter will have a claimed range of 240 km in Eco mode, and top speed of 100 kmph. It will compete against the Ather 450X, as well as the upcoming Ola electric scooter.
Customers from across India can pre-order the Simple One from August 15, 2021. Each state where the Simple One will be available will have at least one experience centre, while the rest will be on the franchise model. The company has already finalised company-owned experience centres in cities of each of the states, to be scaled up soon, to commence deliveries at the earliest.

Simple Energy's state-of-the-art factory is coming up in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. The factory will have annual production capacity of 1 million units in the first phase.
Speaking on this announcement, Suhas Rajkumar, Founder, and, CEO of Simple Energy said, "We have been receiving a lot of requests from many cities across India to book the vehicle. The company felt the need to address these requests and kickstart the phase1 plan. We are also commencing the pre-bookings from PAN India from the launch day. The future is certainly cleaner and greener for Simple Energy."

The Simple One electric scooter will be a high-speed electric scooter with a maximum speed of 100 kmph
The Simple One will be a high-speed, premium electric scooter and will directly compete with the Ather 450X, as well as the Ola electric scooter.The Simple One electric scooter willhave a 4.8 kWh lithium-ion battery offering a claimed range of 240 km in Eco mode, one of the highest in the Indian electric two-wheeler space. Maximum speed will be around 100 kmph, with acceleration of 0 to 50 kmph in just 3.6 seconds. More details on the features and technology will be announced at the time of the launch.

The Simple Energy manufacturing facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, will have annual production capacity of 1 million units
The company has also been working on its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, which will have a capacity to produce 1 million units annually. The company intends to start production at the new facility from later this year, which will be spread across an area of 2,00,000 square feet. Simple Energy intends to invest Rs. 350 crore over the next two years to increase its footprint across India.
