Skoda Octavia Gets A New Top-End Trim - Style Plus - in India

In a bid to increase its market share in the premium car segment, Skoda India has introduced a new trim of the Octavia - the Style Plus. Available in both petrol and diesel versions, the Style Plus has now become the new top-of-the-line trim in the Octavia lineup. While the Style Plus petrol is priced at Rs. 20.27 lakh, the diesel version comes at Rs. 21.23 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
In addition to features offered on the Elegance trim, the Style Plus variants get engine keyless entry, engine start-stop button, two rear side airbags (8 airbags in total), Smartlink mobile phone connectivity system and paddle shifters.
Since the Style Plus is a new trim added to the Octavia range, there are no mechanical changes made to it. Being the top-end trim, it is offered with the same 1.8-litre TFSI petrol and 2.0-litre TDI diesel engines that power the Elegance trim. While the 1.8-litre TSI petrol engine (178bhp 250Nm) comes mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, the 2.0-litre TDI diesel (141bhp, 320Nm) is coupled with a 6-speed DSG gearbox.
