The Nissan GT Academy comes to Mumbai

Nissan, at the Auto Expo, launched the GT Academy in India and promised the talented young rookie drivers out there that they would be able to showcase their talent in the virtual world first and then the actual race track.
After having received an overwhelming response in Delhi, the GT Academy is now in Mumbai and set up at R-City Mall Ghatkopar. If you are 18 years old and above and a holder of a valid drivers license, then you can head down to the mall and try your hands at going around the virtual track and set a lap time.
The simulators help you identify the acceleration zones, braking zones and how to take move across the circuit. There are altogether 6 simulators and all you have to do is show up with your driving license and have a go in one of these.
The timings that have been recorded so far span from the 1:59 seconds to 2:08 seconds. If you think you can beat these times, it is the best opportunity to go out there and showcase your talent. The ultimate prize is an intensive Driver development programme in the UK and will get a chance to race on the Silverstone circuit.
The GT Academy will hold fort at R-City Mall till the 23rd of this month after which it will make its way to other cities like Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad.
