While it is certainly the era of SUVs in India right now, the entry and compact segment hatchbacks and sedans continue to be popular in the country. In today's digital age one way of measuring popularity would be to see the number of searches that any particular topic gets on Google. So, when we look at Google searches in India for vehicles in 2021, the Kia Seltos took the top spot with more than 8 lakh average monthly searches. However, keeping SUVs aside, when we look at the entry and compact segment, these 5 cars topped the search results between January and November 2021.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire

Maruti Suzuki Dzire is the highest-selling sedan in the country
The Maruti Suzuki Dzire is one of the best-selling cars and the highest-selling sedan in the country. So, it's no surprise that the Dzire would also be the most searched car on google in 2021, with around 4.5 lakh average monthly searches. The subcompact sedan ticks the right boxes when it comes to styling and creature comforts, and the car also comes with a peppy 1.2-litre petrol engine, with options of both manual and AMT options.
