Highlights

- Price is expected to be around Rs. 10-10.5 lakh (ex-showroom)
Triumph Motorcycles will launch the top-of-the-line variant of the Street Triple, the Triumph Street Triple RS on October 16. Triumph dealerships are already accepting bookings for the Street Triple RS for an amount of Rs. 1 lakh. The base Street Triple S costs Rs. 8.71 lakh (ex-showroom), and the Street Triple RS is expected to cost around Rs. 10-10.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Deliveries for the new Street Triple RS are expected to begin soon after the bike is launched on October 16.
The Street Triple RS is a more performance-oriented variant of the Street Triple with complete racetrack capability, so there are a few differences. It's powered by the same liquid-cooled, 765 cc, in-line three cylinder engine as the Street Triple S, but has a different state of tune. On the RS, the engine makes 121 bhp at 11,700 rpm and peak torque of 77 Nm at 10,800 rpm. It gets a slipper clutch as well as a quickshifter for the six-speed gearbox.

The RS also gets higher spec brakes and suspension. Up front are Brembo M50 four-piston Monobloc calipers gripping twin 310 mm discs, while at the rear is a single 220 mm disc with a Brembo sliding caliper. Suspension is also upgraded with 41 mm Showa big piston forks at the front, and an Ohlins adjustable monoshock with a piggyback reservoir at the rear. The biggest talking point, apart from the performance and components, is also the full-colour TFT screen on the RS. And then there are also five different riding modes - Road, Rain, Sport, Track and customisable Rider modes. With a dry weight of 166 kg, the Street Triple RS promises a lot of performance with an impressive power-to-weight ratio.
