Volkswagen Polo AllStar Limited Edition Launched At Rs. 7.51 Lakh

Earlier we had told you that Volkswagen has introduced a new special edition model of its popular hatchback Polo for the festive season. Christened the Polo AllStar Edition, Volkswagen has launched the car at Rs. 7.51 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The company will begin the deliveries in phased manner and for now the car is on sale only in North India and will subsequently be launched in other regions as well.
The new special edition Polo comes with the several new features including cosmetic upgrades and is available on the Highline variant. Among the many new addition made to the car, the Polo AllStar edition also gets the new Silk Blue paint scheme, borrowed from its half-booted sibling - the Ameo. Moreover, the car also gets new 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels that now feature a multi-spoke design. And of course, you also have the AllStar badging on the B-pillars and scuff plates.

Volkswagen On the inside, the cabin now gets rear AC vents, making the Polo, the second hatchback in the segment after the Hyundai i20 to boast that feature. You also get adjustable driver side armrest, new upholstery with striping in the centre and aluminium finished pedals for a sporty look.
Mechanically, the Volkswagen Polo AllStar edition remains the same and continues to draw power from the 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options, but won't available on the Polo GT TSI and TDI versions. The standard versions come paired to a 5-speed manual transmission and remain one of the more driver friendly cars in the segment.

Volkswagen India has been working on updating the Polo and Vento models in the country for a while now and we expect the slightly facelifted versions to roll out in the following months. Going by the previous spy shots, the new model will come equipped with LED DRLs, new touchscreen infotainment unit with MirrorLink feature, while the rear AC vents from the AllStar edition can be retained as well. For now Volkswagen has updated the 1.5-litre diesel variant of the Vento with the Ameo's EA189 engine that makes an increased power of 108bhp. The same 108bhp, 1.5-litre engine is also being offered in the newly launched Skoda Rapid facelift.
