Volvo has released the first images showing the interior cabin of the new XC90 ahead of a full reveal which is scheduled for August. Dubbed to be the most luxurious interior ever designed by Volvo, the XC90 adopts an inside out reveal strategy.

The cabin adopts an uncluttered configuration as most of the buttons have been replaced by a large tablet-like touchscreen display. The new XC90 will be offered with a seven-seat configuration, while the gear lever is manufactured from crystal glass by Swedish glass maker Orrefors.

But there is more. The XC90 will also boast diamond-cut controls for the volume and start/stop. Then there is the soft leather upholstery with wood trim, aluminum inserts while a fully digital instrument cluster makes it even more appealing.

"Our new interior architecture is pure and uncluttered, while still radiating the sophisticated confidence and formality that luxury SUV customers expect," said Peter Mertens, Senior Vice President Research and Development of Volvo Cars.

The car will be fully revealed in August, with production set to kick off early next year. We will get more details soon.
