2016 Audi Q7 Launched in India; Prices Start at Rs. 72 Lakh

The new Audi Q7 will be available in two variants - the Q7 45 TDI premium Plus and Technology variants. While the former is priced at Rs. 72 lakh, the latter is priced at Rs. 77.5 lakh (both prices ex-showroom Delhi). Indian Test Cricket captain Virat Kohli, who's been associated with Audi India for a long time now, was also at the event.
The Audi Q7 is available with only one engine option and that is the 3.0-litre TDI, diesel which is capable of producing 245bhp and developing 600Nm of torque from as low as 1500rpm. The engine comes mated to a 8-speed tiptronic automatic gearbox while Audi's quattro AWD system ensures that power is distributed to all four wheels.

There are a whole bunch of changes made to the exterior of the new Audi Q7. As you can see, the design of this one is sharper and futuristic. The addition of the Matrix LED headlamps adds to the sharp look of the SUV and also gives it its distinct appeal. Then there is the single frame Audi grille, the LED tail lamps and the 20-inch alloy wheels which shows how far the SUV has come when compared to its predecessor.
As for the dimensions, the new Audi Q7 is 5,050mm long, 1,970mm wide and has a wheelbase of 2,990mm. Compared to the earlier model, the SUV is 37 mm shorter, 15 mm less wide and has a 12mm shorter wheelbase. The SUV weighs up to 325kg less than its predecessor, thanks to Audi's intelligent use of lightweight construction, multi-material assembly and the strategic usage of aluminium components.
There are a bunch of changes on the inside too as the new Audi Q7 comes equipped with the latest MMI infotainment system navigated via MMI Touch. There's also the Audi sound system, the music interface with two USB ports and a Bluetooth interface. Audi has also added a 12.3-inch 1440x540 pixel Audi Virtual Cockpit screen. Audi's new Q7 will rival the likes of the BMW X5 and the Mercedes-Benz GLE in India.
