2016 Range Rover Evoque to Launch in India on November 19

We told you that the 2016 Range Rover Evoque was on its way to India and here it is. The company will be launching the car on November 19 in Mumbai. Land rover launched the Range Rover Evoque in India in 2011 and since then its radical design has given it a lot of attention.
The company had started locally assembling the Evoque in March this year and the facelift will also make India its home. Currently the Evoque is priced at 48.73 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai) and the new one comes with a host of changes but it is likely that the price of the car could remain untouched.
The facelifted Evoque sees changes to the front which is the most noticeable of all. It will come with a restyled bumper, bigger air intakes, tweaked front grille and full LED adaptive head-lamps. There's also a new tailgate spoiler, different graphics for the LED tail-lamps, and fresh alloy wheel designs.

The Evoque will see changes made to the inside as well. It will get new door casings, seats, and an updated infotainment system equipped with an 8-inch touch-screen display. The new Evoque borrows the All-Terrain Progress Control (ATPC) system from the larger Range Rover, which helps the Evoque maintain a pre-established speed when tackling rough terrain.
However, the most significant change is under the hood. The facelift receives the all-aluminum Ingenium TD4 turbodiesel engine, which is 20-30 Kg lighter than its predecessor, and will be offered in two states of tune - 150bhp and 180bhp.
The new car gets plenty in terms of safety features too; it comes with a lane-keeping assist system featuring a stereo digital camera to detect unintended lane changes and when this happens, the system will automatically apply the steering to keep the car in lane.

There's also the autonomous emergency braking system that can diminish the severity of an impact by automatically applying the brakes in case of an imminent collision. It also gets the attention assist estimation system, which monitors steering inputs to detect whether the driver is at risk of falling asleep behind the wheel. Upon detection of drowsiness, the driver is notified via visual and audio warnings.
