2020 TVS Apache RTR BS6 Models Launched; Prices Begin At Rs. 99,950

- New BS6 models see prices increase on TVS Apache models
- New features, cleaner emissions, marginally less torque on RTR 200 4V
- 2020 Apache RTR 160 4V gets slightly less power and peak torque
TVS Motor Company has launched the 2020 range of TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and TVS Apache RTR 160 4V BS6 motorcycles, with RT-Fi - which TVS calls Race-Tuned Fuel Injection technology. The new TVS RTR 4V motorcycles are the first BS6 motorcycles from TVS Motor Company. The new motorcycles will have cleaner emissions and will meet the upcoming Bharat Stage VI (BS6) emission regulations which will come into effect from April 1, 2020. The new and updated Apache motorcycles also get all-new LED headlights, with newly designed position lamps, feather touch start, along with attractive race graphics.

The 2020 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V gets a new fuel-injected 197.75 cc single-cylinder, four-stroke, four-valve, oil-cooled engine with a five-speed gearbox. Power output remains the same with 20.2 bhp at 8,500 rpm, but peak torque has gone down to 16.8 Nm coming in at 7,500 rpm. The outgoing model has peak torque of 18.1 Nm at 7,000 rpm.

The 2020 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V gets race-tuned fuel injection along with cosmetic and feature updates
The new Apache RTR 200 4V also features the Bluetooth-enabled SmartXonnect technology which offers turn-by-turn navigation along with a dedicated mobile app, race telemetry, lean angle mode, crash alert, call and SMS alerts, and other features. The 2020 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V also gets dual-channel ABS with rear wheel lift-off protection control, and a race-tuned slipper clutch. The motorcycle will also come fitted with high-performance radial rear tyre for enhanced stability and ride quality. The 2020 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V will be available in two colours - Gloss Black and Pearl White. The new model is priced at Rs. 1,24,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Prices for the 2020 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V begin at Rs. 99,950 (ex-showroom, Delhi)
The 2020 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is powered by a 159.7 cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, four-valve, oil-cooled engine with a five-speed gearbox. Both maximum power and peak torque on the RTR 160 4V have gone down marginally. The new BS6 RTR 160 4V puts out 15.8 bhp at 8,250 rpm and peak torque of 14.12 Nm at 7,250 rpm. Comparatively, the outgoing model with fuel-injection puts out maximum power of 16.6 bhp at 8,000 rpm and peak torque of 14.8 Nm at 6,500 rpm.
The 2020 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V will be available in a choice of three colours - Racing Red, Metallic Blue and Knight Black. Prices for the 2020 Apache RTR 1604V begin at Rs. 99,950 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the drum brake variant, and Rs. 1,03,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the disc brake variant. Bookings for the new models have begun across all TVS dealerships across the country.
