2022 Hyundai Venue Facelift Bags 15,000 Bookings Ahead Of Launch

The highly anticipated 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift has finally gone on sale in India today and the Korean carmaker has already received 15,000 pre-bookings for the new Hyundai Venue facelift ahead of its launch. The new Hyundai Venue facelift is offered in six variants - E, S, S+, S(O), SX and SX(O) and ex-showroom prices start at Rs. 7.53 lakh for the base petrol trim, going all the way up to Rs. 12.57 lakh for the range-topping turbo petrol variant, while prices for the diesel variant start at Rs. 9.99 lakh and goes up to Rs. 12.32 lakh.

The 2022 Hyundai Venue receives some significant cosmetic upgrades.
The new Hyundai Venue receives significant cosmetic update as part of the mid-life-cycle update bringing in design cues similar to its larger global siblings while the cabin too gets some cosmetic changes along with added creature comforts. The most apparent changes on the 2022 Venue are the wider and more imposing 'Parametric Jewel Grille' featuring generous use of chrome that merges into the slim upper slight cluster. The split setup for the headlights and DRLs continues, and the rear too gets new angular taillights that are now conjoined with a full-length lightbar. Also, it now gets newly designed alloy wheels.

The cabin of the new Hyundai Venue still looks a familiar space as the overall layout is the same. That said, it's now available in a dual-tone finish and the analogue instrument cluster is also replaced by a digital unit on higher variants. The rear seat additionally now comes with a two-step recline function, which is a segment-first feature. Then, the top-end variants now come with an updated version of Hyundai's BlueLink connected car tech with 60-plus connected car features and support for 12 languages - including 10 regional languages. The system as before supports over-the-air updates. Moreover, Google and Alexa compatibility is new in the 2022 Hyundai Venue allowing owners to access some in-car functions using the Google or Alexa voice assistant from their phone or other Google or Alexa enabled device. These include things like remote climate control, door lock and unlock, vehicle status check, find my car, tyre pressure information, fuel level information, speed alert, time fencing, and idle time alert.

Mechanically, the new Hyundai Venue is the identical to the outgoing model retaining both petrol motors as well as the diesel mill. Starting the range is the 82 bhp 1.2-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine which is available in all the variants except the top-of-the-line SX(O) variant. The higher variants get the option of the more powerful 118 bhp 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, which isn't available in the E, S, and SX trims. The diesel engine is the familiar 99 bhp 1.5-litre unit, which is available in all but E and S trims. Gearbox options include a five-speed manual for 1.2 petrol, six-speed manual for the4 1.5 diesel, a six-speed iMT for the 1.0 Turbo and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) for the 1.0 Turbo. Venue also gets drive mode select with three modes- Normal, Eco, and Sport.
