5 Alarming Reasons: Why Your Car Ac Is Blowing Hot Air

- Refrigerant leaks are a common cause
- Compressor problems can be detected by the noise in the AC.
- The AC filter needs to be cleaned regularly, especially in India
Hot air blowing from a car air conditioner can be caused by a number of issues related to refrigerants, compressors, filters, and so on. So, if you're having a similar problem, don't worry; we've got your back.
Why Is Your Car's Ac Blowing Hot Air?
There are numerous possible causes for your AC problems, and today we'll go over five reasons why your car's air conditioner is spewing hot air.
Leakage of refrigerant
A faulty seal, cracked gasket, or fractured hose causes refrigerant leaks. In either situation, the end consequence is the same: a refrigerant leak that is detrimental to the compressor.
Signs of Refrigerant Leakage
The simplest technique to detect refrigerant leaks is to look for three things:
- The car's air conditioner is pumping heated air.
- Visible leaks beneath the car
- Frozen Coils

Failure of the compressor
The compressor in a vehicle's air conditioning system is commonly referred to as the system's "heart." It is essential for the proper operation of the air conditioner.
If a compressor failed, there would be no flow of Freon. And Free flow is crucial since it is the foundation for the process of supplying cool air.
So the simple, straightforward, and apparent response is that the air conditioner would blow hot air. As a result, for effective AC operation, a compressor is always necessary.
Compressor failure symptoms that are prevalent
- Heat is being blown into the room.
- There is a lot of noise when the compressor is running.
- Liquid leaks

AC clutch failure
Another common cause is the air conditioner's failure to blast cold air.
An AC clutch is not the same as the clutch used to shift gears in manual transmission vehicles. Its operation is quite similar to that of the gear clutch in that, like the gear clutch, it must engage to begin rotating in order to collect energy from the engine.
The function of the AC clutch
The clutch's principal role, as seen above, is to spin and transfer power from the engine, which acts as a generator, to the compressor.
Another vital function of the clutch is to keep the air conditioner from running indefinitely. The engine would be put under a lot of strain if the compressor did this, decreasing the car's mileage.

Blown AC fuse
As the name says, the AC features a fuse, which is a very important aspect of the AC. If the fuse is not there, an electrical shock could permanently damage the car's air conditioning system.
AC filter is too dirty
This is the most neglected part of AC maintenance. Many car owners fail to clean and service their air conditioner filters on a regular basis, causing dust to accumulate and particles to become trapped in the filter. As a result, the filter becomes clogged, causing the AC to malfunction.
