Audi Reveals the All-New A4 Sedan

Compared to its predecessor, the new A4 looks compact and sharp. It also features a wider single frame front grille and revamped headlights. There are new LED daytime running lamps, while the tail lamps too have LEDs in them.
When it comes to design, Audi has given the new A4 a sleeker look with a more sloped roofline and the wheel arches too look enlarged while the rear too brings in a bit of freshness to the look of the car. The B9 (as it is called) is bigger than the outgoing car and is now 4730m long(25mm more), 1840mm wide, 1430mm in height. The wheelbase of the car too has been stretched by 12mm to provide space in the car.

What Audi have managed to do however, is put the new car on a diet which is why there is a considerable weight loss. According to the company the A4 with the 1.4-litre TFSI engine has lost upto 120kg and now tips the scales at 1320kg.
But the biggest and most substantial change is on the inside. It's more spacious than before and the new A4 comes with redesigned seats. There is ambient LED lighting as well which is available in 30 colours. Then there is the 12.3-inch digital and customizable instrument cluster, which is quite familiar as we've seen this one on the new TT and the Q7 SUV.

In the top-end variant you will also get an 8.3-inch tablet-like display with support for voice control, Wi-Fi hotspot, LTE connectivity, Android Auto and CarPlay. Rear-seat entertainment too is taken care of as passengers will get dual 10.1-inch tablets to control the system.
There are an array of engines available with the new A4. There are the 1.4 and 2.0 TFSI petrol engines on offer while the 2.0 and 3.0 TDI diesel mills will be on offer.
Both the petrol and the diesel engine will be mated to a newly developed six-speed manual gearbox, which is 16kg lighter than the old one. Customers also have the option of going in for the new 7-speed S-tronic dual-clutch transmission which replaced the multitronic.
Audi will bring the car to India soon, however we will see it make its public debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, where we will know more about the car.
