carandbike Awards 2021: Kia Carnival Wins MPV Of The Year

The Kia Carnival has been crowned as the 2021 CNB MPV of the Year award. The MPV went on sale in the Indian market last year at the 2020 Auto Expo. It was the second product from the South Korean automaker in India after the Seltos. The flagship model comes to India as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kit. Kia Motors' premium offering took on the fight against the Toyota Vellfire in the MPV category.

Kia's flagship model comes to India as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) kit.
The Kia Carnival MPV comes powered by a BS6-compliant 2.2-litre VGT diesel engine. It is tuned to produce 197 bhp and 440 Nm of peak torque. The motor is paired with the 8-speed Sportmatic transmission that sends power to the front wheels.
It comes loaded with features like dual electric sunroofs, touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, laptop charging point, powered tailgate, one-touch powered sliding doors, dual-zone climate control, UVO connected technology and more. The MPV is offered in three variants - Premium, Prestige and Limousine, and it comes in 7-, 8-, and 9-seater cabin layout options. Currently, the car is priced at Rs. 24.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
